In 2002, the Hariri Foundation partnered with CHF and USAID to carry out a joint project aimed at improving flower production and marketing in South Lebanon. The project featured the establishment of a cut flower nursery and the training of flower farmers to adopt Good Agriculture Practices (GAP).
The project resulted in the production of 5,000,000 cut flowers and 2,000,000 vegetable seedlings with a 50% production cost reduction.
