Mrs. Bahia Hariri honored the volunteers of the Hariri Foundation and the Future Movement who participated in the relief of the displaced people in Saida during the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, at a luncheon ceremony held at the Majdelyoun Residence.
The ceremony was attended by : Nabatieh Governor Dr. Huwaida Al Turk, Saida Mayor Dr. Hazem Badih, Deputy Mayor Dr. Abdullah Kanaan, Municipal Council members “Hajj Hassan Al Shammas, Engineers Mahmoud Shreith and Mohammed Al Baba”, Ambassador Abdel Mawla Al Solh, Professor Hassan Al Solh, Future Movement Secretary General Mr. Ahmed Hariri, Political Bureau members “Dr. Nasser Hammoud and Dr. Ziad Daher”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Director of Saida Governmental Hospital Dr. Ahmed Samadi, Head of the Administrative Committee of Turkish Governmental Hospital Mrs. Mona Tariaki, and President of the Union of Labor and Employees Unions in South Lebanon Professor Abdul Latif Teryaki.
Also attended: Executive Director of the Hariri Foundation Dr. Rubina Abu Zeinab and the Foundation’s team, Future General Coordinator in Saida and the South Mr. Mazen Hashisho, members and volunteers of the coordination and the sectors of youth, liberal professions and higher education, Hariri’s Advisor for Saida and Neighborhood Affairs Mr. Amin Hariri and her Advisor for Engineering Affairs Engineer Mazen Sabbagh, Principal of Rafik Hariri High School Mrs. Nadine Zeidan, Principal of Haj Bahaa Eddine Hariri High School Dr. Osama Arnaout, the team and volunteers of the Foundation’s Social Medical Center and Mobile Medical Unit, Commissioner of the Future Scouts of Lebanon Chief Mustafa Habli, and a number of other people.

Hariri delivered a speech during the ceremony in which she said: “We wanted to meet today to say thank you to the young men and women of Saida and the neighborhood for all the all the deep-rootedness you have shown in the land, heritage and values of our parents and grandparents, of good cooperation, integration and open doors to all our people in the neighborhood, with whom we share the challenges of steadfastness and belief in a single, sovereign, free, independent and final Lebanon for all its children.
Through what you faced in the past months as you carried out your national duty in cooperation with the South Governorate, the Municipality of Saida and all civil and civic organizations, you provided a model of permanent and distinctive renewal for the generations of Saida and the neighborhood. We are proud of you and your strong will.”
She added: “We look forward to a future in which you embody this strong will in all areas of progress and advancement, and this model you started in Saida to overcome the past period, in terms of data accuracy and good follow-up has contributed to making Saida and the neighborhood a distinguished national model. Here, I must salute the great efforts made by His Excellency the Governor of the South, Mr. Mansour Daou, the Governor of Nabatieh, Dr. Huwaida Al-Turk, the Mayor of Sidon, Dr. Hazem Badie, and all the members of the municipal council. In addition to my appreciation for your success and efforts, I would like to salute your colleagues who moved to Beirut for a distinctive national mission on the same foundations, rules and methodology that you adopted.”
Hariri concluded by saying: “This family gathering is only the beginning of a path to turn your success story into a model that we are proud to present to all organizations and sectors. I invite you to turn this experience into a report with your colleagues in Beirut to be presented to all the people of Saida and the region… Today, as I look into your eyes, I feel a lot of hope and reassurance for the future of Lebanon.”
