In 2008, Hariri Foundation partnered with the Italian NGO UCODEP and Slow Food Beirut to organize the local “Earth Market” in Saida. The market was one of 3 available markets organized in Lebanon, including in Tripoli, Saida, and Hamra Street, Beirut and funded by the “ROSS” program. The project aimed at supporting local production and traditional food types, while fostering an exchange of experiences and trade relations between producers and farmers.
