ICT Immersion into Education for Youth in Lebanon

Year

2007 – 2009

National

In collaboration with World Links-Arab Region (WLAR) and the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, the Hariri Foundation launched a comprehensive ICT training initiative targeting schools across Lebanon. The project aimed to unlock the full potential of students by providing them with new learning opportunities, enhancing their technical skills, and stimulating creativity.

Teachers from the participating schools received specialized training in technical skills and student-centered teaching strategies. These trainings empowered educators to effectively mobilize available resources and technologies, improving educational outcomes.

In addition, school principals were included in leadership development sessions, focused on strengthening their ability to champion innovation within their schools. To ensure sustainability and broader impact, the project established a robust teacher support system and created a virtual learning community. This platform enabled collaboration and exchange among teachers, students, and between teachers and students, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
