Improving the Agro-food Production Industry by Civil Society Organizations

In 2005, the Hariri Foundation partnered with CHD and USAID to support the improvement of agro-food production carried out by civil society organizations in Saida. The project targeted 2 local associations, Ahlouna and Moasat, building the capacities of their agro-food workers on production and sales practices. The project resulted in the increase of agro-food production by 80% in Ahlouna and 15% in Moasat. 

Sales increased by 30%, and the income of 25 women was increased by 15%. The project also provided a cumulative of 14 permanent jobs opportunities and 23 seasonal job opportunities.
